A reminder on who/what is a terrorist
I have seen for a while now stuff like "Not all terrorists are Muslim, but all Terrorists are Muslims". I haven't seen any of this on DU, but I think some people, Ann Coulter, who is one the people who have said this, need a refresher course on terrorists. I am not going to say if the terrorists are Christian, Jewish, Atheist, or what-not. This is just a raw listing of them.

Timothy McVeigh
Terry Nichols
Baruch Goldstein
Meir Kahane
William Krar
Charles McCoy
The Anthrax Letter Guy - Criminologists who study letters and crime say they don't think this guy is a Muslim
Theodore Kaczynski

I bet there are many more, but we must remember that the Domestic ones, McVeigh and Nichols, McCoy, the Anthrax guy, and Kaczynski have killed too many people for just Islamic terrorism to be the problem. As for Krar, he could have killed over 400 people with his Cyanide bomb, and by the way when Krar was caught John Ashcroft did not announce his arrest as he has done with every Islamic terrorist arrest.

So, Americans should never stereotypically associate terrorism exclusively with Islam because this could prove to be a very dangerous idea.

1. You are so right!
I don't like it when Muslims are all branded with the 'terrorist' brush. This is exaserbated with phony 'quotes' from the Qur'an which make the rounds in emails and on rw sites.

2. The Sons of Liberty
were a terrorist organization and the Boston Tea Party was a terrorist act. While not an act of physical terrorism, the Boston Tea Party was economic terrorism. While we not look at the Sons of Liberty as terrorists, you can bet that Tom Hutchinson, then Royal Governor of Massacusetts, viewed them in that light.
