5. The Republicans trust Mary.
Carville is good and has a loud voice and can talk over anybody else and be heard. I think a loud voice is critical when 2 talking heads are on..drown out the opposition.

I didn't know they had split up. I could never understand why he ever married her. :puke:

7. It's just a little
too hard for me to swallow too. I could not inhabit the same house as someone who defended the BFEE as vehementley as Matalin does.

9. On MTP, she actually talked about PNAC goals (without using the
words). For some reason, that freaked me out....I don't think even Gingrich expressed this concept as directly as Matalin.

I don't see how Carville and she can live in the same house! Hell, my mother is a "freeper" and we have knock down drag out battles on a regular basis....it's ugly.

25. which is incredibly unbelieveable
considering that their lives and livelihood(s) revolve around politics. How do you turn it off at the front door or the bedroom door? It's beyond me since I can't bear to be around friends (some now FORMER friends) who are Bush-supporting repukes.

11. They appeared together on one of the Sunday morning shows
She didn't look awfully happy and kept looking down as James talked. She probably doesn't like his becoming involved with Kerry's campaign.

19. I saw that and thought it very odd
Every time Carville spoke, Mary put her head down, completely hiding her face from view. It would have been interesting to see the expression on her face.

the main reason I don't trust him is that he supported Chavez's opposition in Venezuela. He served as a consultant to them.

20. I don't think their relationship will be holding up
much longer. They are always fighting. You can see the disdain she has for him when they are out in public. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if their relationship is one like many elected politician,a marriage of convenience. They put on a good public front for image and financial reasons, plus they do have 2 children, so i'm sure that weighs in on it also. my $.02

21. Absolutely Not! Matalin is an advisor to Cheney.....
I think Carville is doing his job when he's out there being the "voice of the liberals"... but I question his sincerity.

:tinfoilhat: But then again, I just don't trust hardly anyone 'imbedded' in the media these days. If liberal pundits were truly sincere, they'd be knocking home runs out of the park during the bush years, right there on TV. But, in spite of some of the good Carville zingers, he still has to go home and get hammered by his wife.

There is NO WAY they don't discuss politics 'at home'. Anybody that shares a bed with a spouse knows that is damn near impossible. But when that's ALSO what you do for a LIVING? When you're in "Communications" fields? That would mean you don't share about 80% of what's most important to you: your values AND your life's work! That's NOT a marriage.

I don't buy it. Either the fact that they're in "Communications" is a lie, or the fact that they 'don't communicate' about it is a lie. Since it's plain to see the TRUTH is that they're both in the "Communications" field, I have to believe the spin that 'they don't talk about it (COMMUNICATE) at home' is pure bullshit.

I don't think Carville would be safe for the Kerry team... we don't need anymore insiders showing our hand. Carville prolly already has too much access to Kerry's camp insiders.

is great and its none of anyone's business who he is married to. IT doesn't affect how he does his job one bit. We trusted him just fine in 92 and 96 when he helped us win the White House.

24. Let Carville say whatever the Hell he wants on TV, but...
...keep him off the campaign. Matalin was at the White House when Uncle Dick was finalizing the scenario for 9-11-01. I wouldn't be surprised if she knows the whole story. She is not to be trusted, period.

28. As much as you can trust any pundit.
Personally that's a species I'd like to see extinct, but as pundits go he's okay.

I think the real question is, "Can we trust what he says?" Because talking is what he does. The answer to that, for me is, trust him, but trust my own eyes and ears more.
