They freep the dead...
Yahoo News buries a regular article called "A Daily Look at U.S. Iraq Military Deaths"...it never seems to make the front page.
I always look for it and find it has few readers, but more disturbing are the ratings these reports receive.
I gave it a "5" as I always do but the rating stands at 2.36 with 71 votes.
They always rank at least that low or lower. The only answer possible is there is a group making an effort to freep the dead.
It ain't much, but I'm going to start posting the link here at DU when someone gets killed over there and if you can, please rate the articles highly.
It's awful enough that we're having to bury so many soldiers but it's inexcusable to let the freepers bury the stories of their deaths.
Saturday's article may be found at

for a new story ?

9. I'll post it and kick every time it updates. It's the least I can do since
my campaign to "convert" my little town in Texas to Kerry is getting nowhere.

12. Great job you are doing for us. Thanks.
I thought possibly Adm. could pin as they do some messages, when ever there is a new story to vote on. But I can see that may not be feasable. Many would want other stories pinned.

In scanning the comments I notice the majority are anti Bush which makes me wonder about the rating and vote counting system used.

7. I've been thinking the same thing....
They talk a big game about honoring and supporting the soldiers, but they would rather bury the story about the sacrifices of the soldiers for political gain.

But what do we expect from people who think mocking the Purple Heart is a good thing to do?

Why should the clowns who are sitting here willing to let someone else do their dirty work want the number of casualties to be broadcast? They have to feel some shame or embarrassment at their cowardice surely. If they don't, they most certainly should. It says a lot about them as 'human beings'.

17. done, but where...
I always check out all the Yahoo stories everyday and rate them...especially the Iraq ones, people just seem bored by the fact that our soldiers are dying and being maimed. But, where can we usually find these reports? This is the first time I've seen one.

21. Click on World News, then click on Middle East, then look waaaay
down the page as a rule. Tucked away where it won't bother anyone.
