often, wild-eyed conspiracy theories are proven to be false, and sometimes true. sometimes it takes decades for the truth to come out, like j. edgar hoover's homosexuality and cross dressing habits. no one on the street would've believed it at the time that hoover ruled the roost, but it's true.

here are a few wild eyed theories:

bush the first was involved in the JFK murder(s)

the bush and hinkley families go way back and bush the first arranged for the disturbed john hinkley to murder Reagan.

reagan and bush the first, pulled off a clever coup de tat to STEAL the election from Carter.

reagan was not actually the president, but played one effectively while bush the first pulled the strings.

bush the first is a degenerate pedophile and closeted homosexual.

daddybush gave his son the presidency merely as a gift, telling him that he'd arrange for all the details himself.

osama bin laden, a long time business associate and family friend, works for the u.s. government.

bush the first and his maniac minions orchestrated nine eleven.

the world's oil reserves are half gone, and the military gets the oil first.

bush has no intention of bringing peace and stability to the middle east.

ariel sharon decides u.s. middle eastern policies.

there were no arab terrorists involved in the crashed planes on 9-11.

there is NO al qaeda network threatening the world.

all the terrorists in the world are NOT in iraq.

elections no longer matter to our so called democracy.

the election results are already decided.

the bush's wouldn't know a christian if they tripped over one.

another terror attack is coming and will be blamed on shadowy uncatchable arabs.

there will be bush's controlling our lives for decades to come.

2. When I was a child in the 1950's

my mother and father told me rather matter-of-factly that Hoover was a homosexual because he never married and livedd with Clyde Tolson and they were inseparable. We lived in Upper Bucks County, PA in New Hope, well-known 'artists community' and were involved with the whole Broadway/writers/musician crowd and this behavior was just the way it was.

It certainly was no surprise to me - especially when the David Ferrie/Oswald business was exposed - and every one of your theories has an absolute basis in fact. The only question I have is, which conspiracies are missing from your list?

What fascinates me culturally is that we read Ludlum and even Clancy books and their ilk by the thousands and then, when someone tries to connect points a to b to c, they're called a raving lunatic by the masses. It makes no sense at all whatsoever.

Remember the old phrase: "Once is happenstance, twice is conincidence, the third time it's enemy action." We have enemy action here.
