The Guy James Show has a VERY BIG opportunity! Can you help???????

He has a HUGE opportunity that will be presenting itself this next week as hinted here.

The station that he broadcasts from, which is in the HEART OF DARKNESS DAMMIT! Is in a transitional period.

Needless to say they're dropping a local show in favor of, I know it's a sin, some national Reichwinger show. It's a major station, one that gets piped into/onto workplaces all over SW Florida.

BUT: If we can get enough attention (IE. For the novices: CALLS, EMAILS, LETTERS ETCETERA!!!!!) focused at Guys show (His LIBERAL/PROGRESSIVE show) then they might, might, put his show on 3-6 WEEKDAYS!!!! PRIMETIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Screw Saturday 3-6, this is the big time.

And it's in the SWING part of FLORIDA! It's the part where the Liberals are afraid to tread and there can be a LIBERAL voice at all of the barber shops, construction sites, RE offices, government offices, cars dealerships, schools break rooms, and so MUCH MORE!!!!

This is where we fight the good fight in their backyard instead of ours.

8. About media - we have to stop the LIES

No more unsubstantiated rumors, lies, half-truths, etc. Callers can say what they will but talk radio hosts and news outlets have to be responsible in their reporting. No more unnamed sources unless it is a whistle blower situation or some other good reason.

11. Here in SF, the Olympics were NOT shown on broadcast television.

NBC owns the rights, and because of a weird corporate dispute, no NBC station broadcasts in SF.

And while I'm going to the bar just to watch some T&F, I'm thinking, "Dammit, WE OWN the broadcast waves. WE THE PEOPLE! But we've given away 100% of our public media commons to shitty megacorporations."

I never wanted to be on the air in the first place, I just wanted to help out Guy who was doing what I thought (You had to see his first station to "get" what I mean...) was insane given the general area of his efforts.

He was kind enough to let me open my mouth and it was truly a blast. I personally think that I performed in an adequete way, improving as time went on I hope, but the fact is that I'm a 1000% amatuer. I'd NEVER been live like that before Guy let me speak on air....

Damn...I'm almost teary now...

...and before that Naples/Bonita Beach. It was either 60 0r 80 miles each way depending on the station.

He really made it easy to be on the air, no stress, no anxiety. Matter of fact I was the one that got freaked out when shit went awry, not Guy, he's a true Pro.

The wind is kicking up a few notches and the scroller on the weather channel is reading we've got a big feeder band from Frances rolling in soon. Like almost 2 million other Floridians, we may lose power here, and darn it, whatever the announcement is, don't want to miss it - or the chance to help out.

Guy has given so much - in his efforts, his time, and money out of pocket to keep this going in 'the heart of darkness'. Will gladly participate in helping to get his show out to a larger audience.

Ha! Was in and out yeterday afternoon and just noticed Guy's show thread had an unwelcome guest providing a personal segment of 'Republican Loooove'. Is that a first?
