I Googled tin foil hat and now I want to wear one.
Edited on Sat Sep-04-04 08:36 PM by amerikat
I was just fooling around on Google. I searched for tin foil hat (images) and came up with a DU post by WilliamPitt about 9-11. The funny thing is that it is a post from February(not certain what year) but some of the siglines are very recent less than a week old. Can someone explain this. I thought Google would give me a screen capture type of image so how can the siglines be up to date?

1. Because, when the post displays. . .
it just reads whatever your current sig is and appends it. It doesn't actually archive the sig with every single post (that would require HUGE amounts of disk space).

The only thing archived is the content of the post, everything else is appended when viewed from another table in the database.

3. Google's web crawler can search within a website. So if you know the right
way to do it, you can search for threads within DU by using google.
