Randi: Zell Miller is insane
Led off with Miller's rantings, then cut to Kevin Kline's rant against John Cleese from "A Fish Called Wanda." Spot on. Perfect.

4. When Zell Miller looked at me last night . . .
I knew he was insane: "Yes we have peace . . . but for HOW LONG???"

I almost wish I'd watched. Sounds like good theater. Damn shame so many lives have been snuffed thanks to his brand of madness.

6. She's in the studio?
I think she'd had enough of the hate in the garden.

I don't blame her. I'd probably have hung myself by now.

12. Howard Dean asked her if she was enjoying herself yesterday
during their phone interview. She said that the only bright spot had been her in-person interview with Sheila Jackson Lee. Howard says, "She was at the convention?" Randi says, "She's here now--I'm looking right at her." Howard asked if she could join them. So they got her into the studio, and the three of them chatted. That will have to serve as my bright spot for the convention--I was watching The Daily Show when Hurricane Zell hit.

7. Zell Miller is the evil Howard Beale
Sums it up pretty well.

Station break. Hope she's onto something else after the commercial. Miller's just flat not worth the bile.

8. A local show in Chicago is comparing Miller's speech to Cotton Hill
The grandfather from King of the Hill. Pretty funny comparison, as well.

10. Going off on the horrible Bush economic record
Zell may be insane, but the Republicans are willfully irresponsible. Then quotes Zell's own words from February 1996.

Shove it up his poop chute, Randi!

11. The speech was Zell's interview
"I don't know which job it was, but Zell took something for that speech last night." Golly, she's calling a United States Senator corrupt! That should wad a few panties over at the networks. If they notice or give a flying Cheney.

13. Randi said Kerry voted for 16 of the 19 defense programs
and listed all the ones Cheney voted against
when he was a Congressman.

No one should vote for the Harrier.

He also voted against funding veterans' benefits. Several times.

And KERRY is getting scored by the likes of Crazy Zell Miller?

15. So much negativity
The Republicans are, as usual, trying to depress voter turnout. They don't have a prayer of winning on the issues. Their only hope is to turn off as many people as possible, get as many people disgusted with the whole thing, so that their reliable 23% of the electorate shows up, and when voter turnout is 45%, they win.

That's it in a nutshell. Don't worry about whether you're registering Democrats or Republicans. The more voters, the more better. The more ballots cast, the less likely any Republican victory becomes. And I'm persuaded that that's especially true in the Republican "strongholds."

17. "Oh my god, Alan Keyes"
Recalling her encounter with Alan. "You didn't really mean what you said, did you? Mary Cheney is selfish and hedonistic? . . . He had nothing to say to me."
