Christian Religious Question....
The Christian religion has always been pro poor, pro human rights, etc. The Christian religion was part of the underground railroad and sheltered slaves in their churches. Someone, the Christian religion of today is far, far away from the humanitarian and human rights causes they champion which made this country great.

I was listening to a PBS TV program on the Arian (Nazi USA) Nation. The head of the Arian nation is a so called minister for jesus. This was the organization Tim McVeigh and Buffart (the guy who broke into a California kindergarten school and killed a few kids), belonged to. The program was scary. Somehow, these Arians have highjacked the bible and christian religion to make the point that they are the supreme white race. Watching the whole thing made me believe that somehow those GOP white haters are part of this Arian nation. It also made me suspect that Ahhnold the asshold schartnazi, would very much be attracted to the power of the Arian nation people. The young people yelling 'white power' on that program were carbon copies of Ahhnold. I think that Ahhnold just doesn't want to be president of the USA, but ruler of the world. You can see the evil in his face.

1. Some of those "Christians" live around here
they send mass mailings out "quoting" the Bible on how the blacks are inferior to the white race, how gays are evil, etc, etc. Whenever I get one, I throw it in the garbage. Just as the bin Laden terrorists have hijacked Islam, these people are attempting to hijack Christianity.

2. The Arians I saw on TV were "Christian Identity" and...
Admit without hesitation that they are not "judeo Christians".
There beliefs are very different from liberal or conservative Christians. They reject much of the Bible and claim that parts of it were written "by Jews in Babylon"(sp).

3. Christian Religious question
The current Republicans have been successful at the old "Divide and Conquer". True Christians believe in all you state, and while I am agnostic, I respect them highly for their moral values and concern for others, some of the people in this world I respect most highly are strong Christians. The problem is that the Republican party doesn't appeal to these people. It instead appeals to all of the values that made me turn away from Christianity- too often, intolerance. The Republican Party states everything as Black and White--- if you are gay, if you believe anything outside a boxed in interpretation of the norm that could cause any dissent or interruption of the current business cycle, you are wrong. The Religious Right is exactly the same. Their comfort zone is in all the "Thou shalt nots" of the 10 Commandments, rather than the "Judge not lest ye be Judged".

Easy to see the result..... A strong conservative Christian(Bush) holds to those values, and tramples obliviously on sensitivities that have existed since the Crusades in the Middle East, and can not do anything but create major problems for us long into the future. We are just the new Crusaders to these people, we won't successfully impose our values on them. History is on their side.

There is really very little difference between these Arian Nazis and
the Christian Right. Let me bring my biracial Children (Asian and Caucasian) into the Bastion of their territory---- the Bible Belt--- which includes the Deep South--- and see how they are treated. The reaction and attitudes will tell you all you need to know.

As far as Arnold goes, I think that if he were eligible to run for President, we would have a great deal more to worry about, as there are far too many people out there who would love to buy into the Terminator role. If another actor and Governor from California was able to do what he did for eight years who's roles were not even political, Arnold would be a snap. Thank God he wasn't born in this country.

To sum: Give me a Christian in the best sense of the term, he or she will be oe of the best people on earth. Give me a Christian is a part of the Conservative Right of the Republican Party, and I can count on a very tough road ahead for my babies.

4. I have a theory about that.
It seems the most rabid of the Aryan nation white supremacists are hardcore bible thumpers because of creationism. It is much easier twist the holy scriptures, in such a way to make all of their followers believe that God created a pure white race it had deemed superior, rather than to stomach the cognitive dissonance of *gasp* we may have all evolved from a common group of ancestors, and share all of the same genetic traits.

At least that's the feeling I get from some of the rhetoric they like to toss around.

5. Christianity and racism in this country go way back.
Before the Civil War they used Christianity to justify slavery (the Bible is pro-slavery, and surprisingly so was Jesus). After abolition you had the KKK form as these "christian knights" ridding the country from the scourge of melanin.

That's probably why so much of it is interconnected.

6. There have always been Bible thumpers who did not

follow Christ's teachings. And I am sorry to say the Bible was used for ages in support of slavery because it has verses about slaves behaving for their masters.

And God told His children: "I love you. Play nice."

Would Jesus love a liberal? You bet!

7. Seems to me...
the only part of the bible they adhere to is the Old Testament. They don't have much use for the teachings of Jesus. Compassion my ass.
I spent time with some Buddhist monks years ago. They exemplified the true Christian values more than anyone I've ever met.

8. There are so many and they are incapable of reasoning.
These creatures frighten me more than ever. They are mentally lazy, ignorant, and arrogant. A terrible combination!
