3. One would hope for a SOARING stock market.
"souring" is what we have now, but that's to be expected.

But we knew what you meant, and so should America.

10. GW Bush
and the shadow neo-con government is a pretty big issue. It goes against the Constitution of the US (I'm sure you've heard about that document). This administration has broken both US and International law (that would be a pretty big issue). In fact, GW Bush and this administration with its lies is a pretty big issue for thinking people. This isn't even mentioning the failed policies so far.

12. The Democratic message is that "America can and will do better" -
We WILL (with the proper leadership) make our country strong while, at the same time, regaining respect in the world. We WILL focus on National Security AND domestic issues at the same time. To have a strong country, we must have strong citizens within our country. We will take the necessary steps to ensure that each citizen has the opportunity to become strong (well educated, healthy, etc.). With the proper leadership, there is no limit to how great America can become. With Democratic leadership, we are encouraged to dream again - and dream BIG.

That is what I get from the Democratic message.

One of my favorite lines from our convention: "It's not leadership if no one follows."

The right leader will instill in his citizens the longing to follow and achieve.

13. The man has a plan for strength at home, respect abroad . . .
John Kerry and John Edwards will stand up for America's values and have a plan to build an America that is strong at home and respected in the world. They believe we can have a strong economy focused on good-paying jobs, a health care plan that reduces costs, an energy plan that frees us from Mideast oil, and they believe we can strengthen our military and lead strong alliances that keep America safe and secure.

15. Oh my GOD, you're right!!!
Edited on Wed Sep-01-04 01:56 PM by RandomKoolzip
Hey guys, he's right! We don't have a message!! Everything we do is guided by a blind hatred of a good man, Mr. George W. Bush, a man of God and a compassionate conservative who has everyone's best interests at heart and would never EVER start a war to make his defense and oil industry cronies rich(er). NEVER!

Man, what have I been doing these last three years?!? I gotta get to church right now.

While I'm gone, you guys come up with a snappy soundbite that's no more than three words, something like "compassionate conservatism" or something. I'm outta here. Karl, take my calls....Oh, yeah, and see if you can't come up with some more fake rumors to spread about Hillary Clinton, too.

18. You'll have to look real hard
Because the network and cable outlets certainly don't publicize it. You could check with www.johnkerry.com or google the democratic party.

You should probably know this site isn't an official organ of the Democratic party. We don't feel constrained to post all kinds of information for folks who can't be bothered to look around the internet for what they're looking for.

19. besides hate is easier to spew
You are right why should you talk about the good that you want done, or how it is going to be accompolished, instead focus on hating W and getting him out of office.
Never mind posting information or opinions that might sway a fence sitter, hell its more fun to sling mud and s*it

20. Right. Which is why Clinton-bashing worked so well for you guys.
Edited on Wed Sep-01-04 02:32 PM by RandomKoolzip
Oh gosh, it's so obvious! The right never "spews hate" towards anyone, do they? Nope, it's all love and roses towards the liberals (you know, the larger half of the country.)

In case you haven't noticed, Bush is responsible for the most harmful policies the US has ever endorsed. If you can't see that and realize how dangerous it is for the rest of the world to have this man's administration running things, then you must have a fence a mile wide to sit on.

First, we get Bush OUT. Then we can talk about the next steps. Again, in case you haven't noticed, the right (the RADICAL right) has all three branches of govt. AND the media at their disposal right now. And you want us to take time out from fighting the dragon to make a "to do" list?

Oh, and it's okay to say "shit." We don't have sticks up our asses about using "dirty" words around here.

23. Repeal the tax breaks for the rich....

Here's the best 3 in my opinion....

#1 - Repeal the tax breaks for the rich....back to where they were in the "Clinton years"....from 35% to 39% roughly....this forms a basis on which to balance the budget in the future. It will work...there's a boat load of money there.

#2 - Preventative health care for children as a start...a very wise investment.

#3 - Broad coalition on the war effort...plus we can only hope he will use brain cells as a substitute for God/Alcohol/Religion/Neoconservativism to find a way to get us out of there.
