I wandered out of work early tonight. I work on 6th Avenue by Radio City Music Hall and CNN. I noticed a NYPD patrol car blocking traffic on 6th Avenue. I heard sirens coming West on W 51st. Judging from the number of cars barreling down the street, I figured it had to be either Cheney or the Bushitas. I know Pickles and her pups were at some soiree at the Waldorf this afternoon. While I'm standing at the intersection, many in the crowd are wondering aloud which jackass is responsible for holding up traffic? As the limo with the presidential seal pulls around the corner, we all have our answer and a fair number in the crowd, including myself, fired off the one-finger salute. For good measure, in case of Jenna pup was in the limo, I stuck out my tongue too. I haven't done that since at least the 6th Grade. Y'all don't need to know how long ago that was. Anywho, it was one of those fine, spontaneous moments that make me proud to be a New Yorker.
