Did anyone see Bush in Wheeling on C-SPAN yesterday?

I kept thinking of Hitler's twitchiness when he was on amphetamines. Bush kept jerking his head down and to the left convulsively. This was when he wasn't crawling over supporters to grab their outstretched hands and blowing kisses wildly like Mae West. He also apparently ran nose-first into a Secret Service agent's outstretched hand and sorta convulsed. It was really weird. I kept thinking "is he wired?"
And they're starting to carry two-foot W's, apparently one for each War they'd like...

That and the enthusiastic cheers elicited from the crowd in response to such policies as tort reform made these "Steelworkers For Bush" appear embarassing to the rest of the country.

The jingoism in the crowd ran rampant.

between watching a car wreck and one of my drunk friends trying to pick up a girl at a bar. I couldn't stop watching. What the hell was he talking about?

When I see him in front of a crowd, and he leans in and sounds like John Belushi at Bob's Country Bunker and all folksy and stuff and people start applauding I get terrified that this idiot is actually going to win.

I missed about two minutes, did he bring up Jessica Lynch?

I watched part of the streaming video.

Rally armies of compassion...love, like you'd like to be loved... culture (loud applause)...values...freedom & peace...honor...dignity...blah blah. This is all red meat to his fundy base. The all-purpose speech that I had a copy of, once.
