Ugh, what a way to wake up...
My morning routine is to get up before the kids and work out, then I check email and then turn on the TV to catch the local weather in the breaks on Good Morning America.

So, this morning, there is Dick "source of all evil" Cheney on GMA.

SO, I decide to switch to NBC. There's Matt Lauer with W.

Sigh. What a horrible way to start my day!

What I really hate is how both interviewers just let both of these "people" (though I am not 100% sure either of them is human) say without being challenged!!!

1. I decided to watch less tv this week!
Its hard enough sometimes to stay positive and I figure listening to their garbage would be too much.

4. I usually end up watching for about half an hour
They put on the local weather forecast in the "weather breaks" and the top local stories.

I tend to watch GMA during that time because I like the ABC locals better than the NBC ones.

I should just not watch anything but Sesame Street and Dora this week since I'm pretty sure that they will be the only ones not genuflecting before the altar of evil.

5. I ask because....
Last i heard and seen actually. That Charlie Gibson is a repuke that did his best to ambush Kerry during his last interview with him ( funny also that Gibson is listed as one of the debate host this year ), that Lauer guy went so far out of his way to trash Michael Moore and has just recently did a puff piece with the shrub. Doesn't sound like tv a Dem would want to watch on a regular basis.

7. Yeah, I know
I hate Lauer worse than Gibson, who used to be less of a dickhead than he seems to be now.

I suppose I should just get my butt out of bed earlier and watch the local news! Because I would never get to the workout if I sat down to watch the news beforehand!

Of course, if we want to see news, there is really nowhere to go to that it not dominated by right-wingers. GMA is usually a bunch of "fluff" stories, unless they have lined up a big interview in which case Gibson goes into full-on dickhead mode.

9. Well, that's the time I usually watch GMA

I'll give it a shot tomorrow. I'll even set an auto-tune, so I don't forget!

Thanks for the push in the right (or left) direction! (Although it still doesn't solve my local weather report dilemma!)

10. My husband finally turned off the TeeVee
He enjoys watching the Today show which lately because of me, he hasn't been able to do. This morning I loudly informed him before it even got that far that I wasn't going to be able to tolerate either Matt "I'm too sexy for myself" Lauer or Katie "Navy Seals rock" Couric this morning, and not to even go there.

11. no kidding
I woke up to Bill Hemmer wetting his pants at the convention. Jesus Christ, his gnome-like little face was just SHINING. He was almost panting in GOP-lust.

Switched it off. I'm just going to watch baseball this week, and keep my sanity.

I'm trying to avoid TV as much as possible the next few days, except C-SPAN and The Daily Show.
