FOUR AND 1/2 HOURS of peaceful marchers! And this is what's a headline news photo? Maybe the protesters should have added to one of their favorite chants "FOX NEWS SUCKS!" that "CNN NEWS SUCKS TOO!"

16. CNN's Last Hurrah!

After November when the dust settles and most of the population goes on their way, CNN will be wondering where their audience has gone.

They have shown their colors. The FReepers believe that CNN is too liberal, so they will stay with FOX. We have stopped watching already, so that leaves some independents tuned into CNN. When they leave, CNN will have Larry King introducing Ron Popiel with a special one hour "info-mercial."

I watched most of the C-Span coverage and this thing burned for maybe 5 minutes while the police calmly cordened off the area.
They got it put out and let people back through.
I hope there are CNN employees who will be disgusted enough to do something about this.

Shame on you for the front page designed to make it look like the protests are violent.

20 of Manhattan's "long" blocks are filled with protesters, perhaps a million, and it's an overwhelmingly peaceful event.

CNN is misrepresenting the truth when it says tens of thousands rather than hundreds of thousands. CNN is misrepresenting the truth by presenting a photo of masked men fleeing from a burning float. CNN is misrepresenting the truth when it talks of a "counterprotest" of barely a dozen paid Republicans as though these "counterprotesters" were a force eqal to the million who know the truth about Bush.

Enough is enough. Your network's efforts to move to the right of Fox News are shameful. Truly: shame on you. Your veer to the right has put you behind MSNBC, and your blind and ugly support for Bush needs to stop.

Your network will be remembered, the way Pravda is remembered, or Der Angriff: as a force for evil in the world, utterly divorced from journalistic integrity.

19. CBS had really nice coverage tonight

all about how peaceful everyone and how calmly the protest went. They talked to protestors and showed a freeper egging on a protestor and the protestor just calmly responding.

Of a 40 something woman holding a cardboard sign coming up to a couple of uniform cops, the sign read "More Fucking less War".

The cops - one black one white, just lost it...and began a nice talk with the woman.

You can't beat that....

Unlike Chicago, 1968 I am confident the establishment could never count on these police officers opening up on a crowd, they have been used and abused by the Federal Administration no end....

Don't count on cops and fire to support BushCo (and do them the favor of giving them the benefit of the doubt)
