1. Diebold makes computers that automatically count them...
They have the crowd at 823. But they won't let us check the software to see how they were counted.

4. There are two formulae:

If it's a left-wing protest, count the heads in a 50-sq-yard area, divide by ten, and multiply that number by half the distance of the parade/rally.

If it's a right-wing protest, estimate the crowd at 250,000 for starters and add another 3,000 for every additional protestor you see. If they have a banner, add another 1,000. If the number doesn't reach 500,000, then count the people vacationing in The Hamptons as well.

8. c-span said it went for 20 city blocks....
I know there is a formula for that but I don't know it. Kelly Kramer posted a 34 block estimate and came up with 1,000,000! I am no mathematician so I am clueless where the sum comes from.

Personal observation... I watched the whole thing for 4 1/2 hours. It had to be close to 1 million!

:)

9. Bush Rally: Multiple by 100; Anti-Bush Rally: Divide by 100...

So if Bush buses in a couple of hundred, report "tens of thousands",

If several million show up for an anti-Bush rally, report "tens of thousands".

Makes it all even and fair, or "Fair and Balanced" as they say. Got it?
