wouldn't stem cell research cut down on animal testing?

it seems so obvious but it just dawned on me. does anyone know if peta and other animal rights group has come out in support of stem cell research?

And maybe that's why big pharma is so dead set against stem cell research. Who do ya think afflicts those poor animals to the 'test'?

Besides, stem cell technology is likely to do away with the rampant pill-popping now intoxicating America.
