Anti-Bush graffiti in Florida (picture)
Here is a picture my girlfriend took of a stop sign at the corner of Park and Cadiz Street in Tallahassee, Florida. Short, and to the point.

1. I noticed a few of those in Tallahassee
a few months ago when I was there. Some sanity in Florida, who knew?

3. A little pocket of sanity in the panhandle
Gore won Leon county big time in 2000, and I guarantee Kerry will do the same.

10. Panhandle, Sanity, & PBSD
Edited on Sat Aug-28-04 11:37 PM by floridapatriots
Hard to keep sane here in LA (Lower Alabama). When King George's bus tour came through Panama City a few weeks ago every neck around lined the streets to drool and pay homage. My 5 mile drive home was along the royal route and as far as the eye could see there was nothing but a sea of police, NASCAR hats, & Wal-Mart bags filled with treats for the yougins. Around 6:30 I retired to the porch to hopefully drink the horrid images away. However, soon after my second LARGE drink the King's bus drove within a block of my house and W was using the loudspeaker thanking the faithful for coming out. My children watched in horror as I jumped to my feet knocking over my drink while screaming "F*** YOU!" at the passing bus. My wife, between bouts of hysterical laughter, explained to the children that I was not losing my mind but merely expressing myself in way that they are not allowed to.

I have since regained some level of sanity but the sound of W's voice sometimes haunts me, requiring rather high levels of self medication to dull. Sadly, my house was my pocket of sanity, my escape from the necks, and now that it is tainted by the memory of W I may have to move. I wonder if Post Bush Stress Disorder (PBSD) would be covered by my health insurance? Oh Wait, we had to cancel that because we couldn't afford it after my wife's company, an HMO, stopped contributing, never mind.

Now that I've vented, I think I going to walk down to the corner stop sign make my neighborhood more beautiful.

5. Sorry but I have seen those in Texas (Austin) since before the election
in 2000 and you see how much good that did. Still nice to see the word is getting out.

6. I saw one of those, too...

in a very Mormony area just outside of Salt Lake. It made my day, I'll tell you! Also, today I saw a car with Texas plates that had a 'John Kerry' bumpersticker. I haven't seen too many Bush/Cheneys, except on a couple of beat up old wrecks. The irony. I'm so tempted to yell, 'Dude, you sure as hell don't look like a millionaire. Why are you voting for someone who doesn't give a damn about you and never will?'

On edit: Oh yeah! Today I saw another beat up old wreck with a 'Don't Blame Me, I Vote Republican' bumpersticker. Oh god, was that good for a laugh! I wanted to yell, 'I do blame you, you stupid fuck!'

9. I've seen many of these in Dayton OH.
Someone took their time and did this to about twenty stop signs near my place before the Iraq war, and they've been there since.

13. I had similar thoughts and feelings
Since we don't have any freeways nearby  Don't have that many stop signs around here either. But there are one or two ;-)

last month on vacation, there was a "Fuck Bush" written in the dust of the glass door of an office/store building that had closed up. Made me smile big time! LOL

14. Havent seen it here yet but.....
I've been planning to get some bumper stickers from the repub headquarters and putting them on stop signs. Spray painting would just feel too juvenile.

17. A couple months ago, I saw stop signs with 'W' underneath
Pity I didn't take the pics, but they were in a big repuke town and were cleaned up within a week. Pity...

I normally don't like graffiti, but the "STOP BUSH" bit is quite acceptable.
