Would those of you here in SW and West Michigan be interested in getting together to do something locally for Mari333? I was thinking of perhaps pooling our culinary skills and "catering" a sunset picnic in Scott's memory on one of the many beaches in the area for Mari, Michael and the rest of her family?

Or it could be something more traditional like attending the memorial service as a small group as official DU emmisarries.

Whatever it would be we would need to check with Mari first to make sure she's comfortable with it and that it's done in a fashion that isn't more burdensome than helpful.

If you're in the area and are interested, PM me. Other creative ideas to help Mari and her family through this also welcome.

there is going to be a floral arrangement from DU at the memorial (which is going to be at a local church)

all the details are in the thread.

vetwife and I have been in direct contact and can pass info on to her if you do want to plan something.

and, yes, I think some local support would be welcome.
