20. The cyclists happened just about two hours ago
They are still arresting them as I type this.

There were lots of pix of the naked protest, which involved a total of maybe ten people.

4. No mice?
Or weathermen? No one posing as aides directing unsuspecting little old Resluglicans to the deepest, darkest bowels of the city?

If you guys in New York can't decently disrupt a convention we won't let you have any more, understand? ;-)

This is building up to one big nightmare.

Dems love to shoot themselves in the foot.

15. You think it'll be 'Dems' who screw things up in NYC?
It'll be ANSWER, anarchists or agent provacateurs...if it happens.

anyone who protests will be arrested. I am actually scared that there are agents that have infiltrated protest groups who will start trouble more than any violence from anarchists.

8. I went downstairs to watch Critical Mass ride by
I was supposed to go with them! My friends were there. It was very, very cool. It took probably 20 minutes for all the bikes to pass by. They ruled the streets. Everyone was calm and peaceful - just riding down 7th Avenue. Just awesome. Now I see on the news that many got arrested in the EV.

The helicopters are disturbing me though. They are flying low and continuously. I don't like it one bit.

18. I heard Critical Mass was cool
we had low flying planes during the DNC here too-it was a little weird, much like afer 9-11.

I really hope everything goes smoothly and there's no violence.

23. Maybe each day we can have a thread
where the folks in NYC can check in, just to give live reports.

I'm sure we will miss a lot if we have to depend on the media.

27. I'm sure we won't be seeing much of anything.....
and really, how is that going to look??? Massive crowds of protesters, civil tho they may be.....the "networks" won't be showing any rebellious actions. No, if we don't get it here, we won't be hearing ANYTHING about the demonstrations.
