3. It's bullshit.
He said the same thing in 2000 when he was campaigning. He's a damn LIAR! He doesn't believe it and I don't believe HIM. He thinks he can turn Environmental policies on their head and we won't notice? He can go to hell.

5. I honestly think he is too stupid to be that devious.
They didn't tell him.

Its just a move to the center pre-convention.

Just like the Cheney gay marriage thing.

4. he's going semi pro-environment
in the last three months to fool people who rank the environment maybe tenth on their list of concerns into thinking he's really been pulling hard for environmental protections. anyone else will know he's got the worst environmental record of any president ever.

6. His staff actually signed it ...He must have been on vacation

excerpt:
Remember yesterday, when folks were surprised that the administration allowed its Secs Commerce and Energy and its Science Advisor to put out a report that allowed that heat-trapping gases are a cause of global warming, which, by the way, exists? Yeah, well, Bush was surprised, too.

The new report was signed by Mr. Bush's secretaries of energy and commerce and his science adviser. Asked why the administration had changed its position on what causes global warming, Mr. Bush replied, "Ah, we did? I don't think so."
