MSNBC Overtakes CNN- We Are Having An Effect
I found it on Drudge's cable ratings. I'm not sure what his source is - I won't link him.

7. Yeah baby!
I've always said that all we have to do is show the idiotic media that there isn't nearly as much profit in being right wing whores as they think there is, and that'll be the beginning of a change. This is great news! The problem was that before Air America, we had no outlets to prove it. Air America had paved the way, and now MSNBC has followed. Sort of. But what they have done is a start. Hopefully now they will continue and expand their recent efforts to become more responsible journalists.

11. Weren't Olberman's ratings just 0.1 or 0.2 a few months ago?
I am pleased that his show is gaining popularity.

10. Ah, Yes that bastion of progressive thought, MSNBC.
What time is Noam Chomsky's "Dissentimental" show on?

Was it before "Hardball" or after the Kucinich Hour?

(sarcasm off)

You're comparing apples and Granny Smith apples.

No offense.

14. Actually ...
if it means balance is becoming more lucrative, maybe the networks (except Faux, of course) will rake in more lucre by being more balanced. Baby steps, UdoKier -- baby steps. It's gotten so bad, even a trend toward a little more balance is worth a thumbs-up, ain't it?

18. That isnt the point. This isnt about MSNBC as much as CNN
The prevailing wisdom in the industry was that conservative sells. The obvious problem with that theory was that it wasnt that all people had gotten more conservative, just that there were a bunch of rabid conservatives, but they werent watching anything but fox news.

CNN used to be a fairly neutral network and has made a major shift right in order to follow the fox model. This seems to be failing dramatically which is incredible news. It means they may realize what we already knew, Fox has cornered the market on conservative propaganda, so they may try searching for new markets, like neutral news or god forbid, liberal political talk.

Meanwhile MSNBC has hosts that dont fit the Fox model doing pretty well, which is also nice.

13. Excellent news!
Do you think CNN is smart enough to connect the dots? Democrats bombard them with emails because of their biased news coverage, their ratings go in the toilet and MSNBC's ratings go UP. HELLO! CNN! We warned you! Are you listening now?

and possibly larry king? they both got 0.5 or so. I mean larry king recently has been doing fluff entertainment crap. last night he had on the fear factor host. and I dont watch paula zahn but happened to be flipping by cnn while larry king was on and saw who was on.
I am starting to like MSNBC better than CNN

19. CNN needs a total overhaul, they are horribly run.
And trying to become Fox-lite has clearly backfired.
