I have to 2 kids --one is 2 yrs, the other is 8 months-- and I have not had the time to watch hardly any TV since the first one was born (except for Dora the Explorer and Sesame Street. I'm the map I'm the map I'm the map!!!).
As a result I don't seem to go through the wild emotional swings I used to regarding the election, polls, etc... If you stick to the web/print, I think you get a more even, broader picture of things.
For instance, reading some of the posts here today, mostly people reporting what they saw on TV, you'd almost think that * has aleady won the election. You don't get that impression by reading articles in the NY Times, WaPo, local press, etc...
Step away from the TV folks. I know sometimes I feel like I need to watch TV to see what the masses are seeing, but I'm not sure what good that does me. And then I'm just contributing to their ratings! You already know what you're going to see before you turn it on anyway.
just my two cents. -nb
