The GOP is scared of the war...please rate this story
Edited on Fri Aug-27-04 04:57 PM by Vickers
These are a few lines that stood out:

"With the death toll of U.S. troops nearing 1,000, several of the Republicans said Bush's political team doesn't realize how angry and anxious Americans are over Iraq. Each death dominates local news, often in a battleground state. "

" Several Republicans said they'd rather see the (swift boat veteran's)issue go away."

Kerry needs to go on a "WAR! WAR WAR!" attack on Georgie. They know it's a thorn...Kerry, TWIST THAT GODDAM THORN! They are worried about it!

And they know they fucked up with the swift boat thing. Sure, Kerry lost a few points to the folks who don't think for themselves ANYWAY, but I think they see it has gone its course. So Kerry needs to keep hammering the credibility of the swift boat liars.

Edit: Oops! story

6. ROFL!!!!
"_ Remind voters of Bush's performance after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, which produced the highest approval ratings of his presidency. "

I dunno, I don't think that 27 minutes at the Booker School were his finest, nor was his high-tailing it off to a bunker in Nebraska. Nor was the delay in getting to NYC, waiting for them to build granstands and assemble enough people to reflect his magnificence.
