We don't have to argue with them. Think of these places as safe havens against the standard Left v Right arguments and places for the Right and the Left to argue amongst themselves.

I have no problem with FR shutting down accounts of people who espouse a political view they don't like just like I don't have a problem with DU doing the same. It isn't about whether or not you can't be argued with, it is whether or not the viewpoint is appropriate for the website.
