I HATE REPUBLICANS!!!!!
This idiot tells me that I am better off than I was 5 years ago because interest rates for tuition have gone down for grad school. He talks about how Kerry is financed by the wealthiest in America. While he pretends to be a regular guy. I hate them. I want to punch them.

1. He's one of the duped
What do you want to bet he's getting screwed by *, too, but won't admit it to himself? No excuse for such ignorance, of course.

3. I share your distaste for Republicans
These people are morally, ethically, intellectually, and philosophically bankrupt.

6. today I f'ing hate them ALL too...
they are cocky and arrogant and rigid. There is no chance for dialogue anymore.

And it's disgusting and hypocritical what they did to Max Cleland, and McCain and Kerry. Seeing as though most of them avoided going into war, they should be ashamed of themselves.

And I love how they say that Bush cuts taxes and Kerry
will and has raised them in the past, and will do it again.

for the first time, there was not tax cut, and especially

"Hi, the wife and I are not in right now, were out in the streets shooting at republicans! As soon as we run out of ammo, we will be back, so leave that dandy little message of yours, oh, and if you are a republican leave your address. We will get right back to ya! (beep)

10. No offence, but you can't refute those points?
Give him a list of Bush donors. Tell him to give you proof. Most of the time they are just repeating GOP talking points, but they don't really know what they mean and of course, since they are usually not factual, they are unable to prove it.

15. No, actually, you can't argue these points
Trust me, I have been through this shit repeatedly.

They spout out some bullshit repub talking point, usually riddled with lies. You tell them that their facts are wrong, and they demand sources. You give them sources, and no matter what they are they will say that your source is left-wing. Or they will say that its "spin".

All points they make are to be trusted implicitly, while anything you say must be backed up then and there by at least three sources that they deem as "credible" (Faux, Drudge, NewsMax, Rush, Hannity, etc).

12. well boffo for him
it's also harder to get a student loan or grant, and when you get out if you can find a job that pays better than minimum wage you'll be working for the next 50 years of your life to pay off your tuition. If you can't get a job and you declare bankruptcy, don't worry, you will still owe 100% of your student loans and credit cards PLUS legal fees.

Your friend is a nutcase. Without white collar jobs in the market, getting an education is a useless activity, unless he plans to mooch off his parents or SO for the foreseeable future.

13. Lets say the interest rate dropped 3%
and the tuition increased 15%. One might argue that things haven't improved very substantially. Last year you might owe 1000 + 80 interest (8%) = 1080 for a year. This year you would owe 1150 + 57.50
(5%) = 1207.50 net gain of 127.50.

I would like to meet your friend to talk about some good investments I have to offer!
