War Protests at the Olympic Closing ceremony
sorry if this is a dupe and that I have no link, but tonight, the announcer of the Olympic program on the Canadian station was saying that massive protests (his words) were being organized by the students and labor unions for Powell's visit during the closing ceremonies of the Olympics, due to the war in Iraq. Wonder if any US press will cover? So many protests, so little time.....

1. All of TV news and sports
is being sanitized for their protection.

Even when we get a few glimpses of things going on around the world,
its spin city. All of corporate media is behind it.

Did we see the overwhelming negative crowds protesting Bush in
Europe? How about the crowds now adoring Clinton in Ireland?
Only little slices, not important, nothing to see here, now
back to Laci and Scott and Kobe (and, when Kobe starts to go
south, well now, lets dredge up that William Kennedy Smith guy
again).

2. A crowd at these Olympics?
That would be newsworthy.

4. Track stadium just boo'd US for 30 minutes

This was a mens track race on the A&E channel reply so not sure when it originally aired. Turned it on in the middle of it so don’t know what started it, but apparently in Europe whistling is the same as booing and it was LOUD.
The runners couldn’t even hear the starting gun and they had one false start after another.

The US media coverage has been pretty much like what the old Soviet Union used to do to their people.. Block out anything negative, nothing but 'we are great comrads!'

Also, in the future look for ZERO coverage of the Iraq soccer team by the US media propaganda whores.

If there are protests against Powell it will be censored and blacked-out in the US media. If somehow by accident pictures reach US viewers eyes, the US propaganda whores will make up some lie that they are against someone else.

The only difference between the US propaganda and the old USSR propaganda, is the people in Russia were smart enough to know their news was censored and full of shit.. Unfortunately most Americans are too stupid (or lazy) to know the difference.
