4. I haven't seen the program yet...west coast here.. but

I've been chatting with a group in San Francisco:

California Prison Focus, Corey Weinstein, MD. They are a prisoner advocacy group. She had an article on that site talking about the similarities between our prisons and the Iraqi prison atrocities.

It was very interesting, though she didn't point out Texas per se.

6. Much of the info. from Nightline is being repeated on ABC

at 3:45 a.m. EDT. They showed Bush being interviewed by Middle East television, showed part of Texas prison abuse, showed dog attacks in Brazoria, Texas "while Bush was governor", and dogs in Abu Ghraib.

Bush's remark "...had I known the videotape existed, ...we would have pushed for harsher action, quicker action".

In other words, no pictures, no action necessary.
