Rummy should resign & the President should take responsibility!

Lawrence Korb, former Asst. Defense Secretary under Reagan, was on c-span this morning. He said that Rummy gave bad advice to the president by talling him we'd be welcomed in Iraq, gave unclear guidlines to the military regarding what was permissable prisoner interrogation tactics, and misjudged the number of military it would take to win the war & keep the Peace. He SHOULD have come forward and said "Mr. President, I gave bad advise so I will step down.

Korb also said the President should go before the Country and accept full responsibility for all that went wrong, from the prisoner abuse to the mis-handling of the war. "Remember, as an old Navy man, the Captain is ALWAYS responsible, even if the wrong was done by a lowly ensign!"

I assume this guy was a Pub because he worked for Reagan, but I have to tell you, he was one Pub that called it like it is, and pulled no punches.

Rumfilled already "accepted full responsibility". In RepublicanSpeak that means you are completely forgiven for getting caught for doing what you were trying to hide and you can go out and do it again if you are careful not to be caught.

(Rumfilled was mostly upset that cameras caught the action to make it harder to deny the "T" word)
