Conservative unity adheres to lies.
Conservatives (the pukes and the others of their ilk) are undeniably more unified in their stance over issues and current events.

It wasn't so long ago however that they were solidly anti-government and so heavily in favor of individual freedoms. Three years later now if you were to openly criticize the government you would risk being harassed, shouted out and beaten and perhaps jailed. They would shamelessly sell themselves out and lose their freedom for a republican politician.

Obviously the notion of standing up for freedom is a lie.

It wasn't long ago that you kept hearing about republicans being the deficit hawks while the country struggled desparately to pay off its debt. Useless government agencies and some rather controversial cutbacks have nonetheless produced an outstanding surplus under a democratic President. Three years later we have the greatest ever deficit looming upon the economic front while we have a republican congress to thank for it.

Obviously the idea of smaller, more economical government is a lie.

It wasn't long ago that we heard of the rampant immorality that supposedly gripped the capital as religious fanatics bellowed and whined about the lack of moral fiber in this country. Three years later they now have as their leader a man who used Christ as a running mate, the same man who shut out the protests against war from his own church. The same man who mocked a woman for her beliefs in Christianity, the same man who has yet to go to church since he has gone to Washington.

Obviously their preaching was a lie.

So how is it then that conservatives manage to stay unified in the face of all those contradictions? Stupidity. The lack of using critical thinking, the absolute refusal to ask questions, the reactionary ways of rebutting an argument are all forms of the same self-centered stupidity they choose to hide in.

Many will tell you that the conservatives at least have a message when it is merely the appearance of having one that will suffice. Are the democrats in disarray right now? Are they disjointed? To a certain degree yes they are. However one only has to look at the record 200 million that Bush is ready to spend on his campaign-to fight against an as of yet undecided democratic opponent.

California was also supposed to be a symbolic victory for the Bushes but that is clearly going bust. The recall is backfiring as Davis and Bustamente' are gaining ground with California voters. The only prominent conservative is one who has ties with the Kennedys. That same conservative has chosen a democrat as a financial advisor.

To know that there is a growing fear lurking about conservative camps is to know that conservatives have nothing upon which to rely for political issues. They are actually in a fog, one brought about by their own smoke and mirrors.

And the truth shall soon come to rear its ugly head.

candidate is selected. The Republicans are going to be mighty surprised at just how unified the opposition is now and how every day it's getting more unified....

BTW, good rant...right on the money too. These so-called "conservatives" have totally changed their tune in 3 years and their lack of outrage as to how this criminal administration is destroying our kids future is nothing short of treasonous.

They, too, will be discredited when the pendulum swings...and it will swing, big-time.

3. Also consider this:
There are, among others, a physician, (possibly) a general, a reverand, and others who, unlike Bush, were legitimately elected to their offices.

But the reason the left hasn't been destroyed (as the pukes surely thought) is because in the midst of all the arguing, bickering, and debate, a body of philosophy and thought continues to live. Its diversity of many people and is what makes it so adaptable. Because of that, what appears to be disunity is actually the secret to not only surviving but also prospering.

And that is a terrifying thing for conservatives.

4. Yes, some people on the right do notice the hypocracy
I've seen freeper boards, where people were complaining about all kinds of things:

Bush passing gun control.
Bush spending more than Clinton.
Total Information Awareness - big brother stuff
Unconstitutional war resolution.
Trade protectionism.

It's enough to make some of these guys vote libertarian. If we pick a candidate they can "live with". Maybe they'll do it. Maybe they'll use the Libertarian Party to send a message to the GOP just like the left did with the Greens.

Maybe the country would be better off if we had better conservatives and liberals!
