The dull and tedious news conferences that don't address any issue of substance,the studious avoidance of questions by the rubber stamp Congress,the near totalitarian uniformity of the Press and the Media,the reliance on military threats to solve problems,the ever increasing military budgets,the complete dismantling of programs that address the needs of people,the incessant and brazen lying of the powerful all make one think of the dying days of the Soviet Empire.

I can't recall who said it but the saying goes: Pick your enemies wisely because they are the ones you are going to resemble the most.
Truer words were never uttered.
