2. It's Clinton's fault!
Somehow Clinton is responsible for all the bad things that happened after he left office!

6. $1.79.9 in Boise, ID
Highest priced gas in Boise history. But if you make more than $28,000 and have kids you can use your Bush rebate to further feed his friends. He's managed wealth redistribution like the snakeoil salesman he is. Take from the lower income and middle income and feed the elitists.

3. no shit
I know some who actually thought that would translate into cheap gas too, idiots!!! Tried to tell'em gas prices would never get cheaper by attacking Iraq. hell, we could take over the whole mideast and still not see gas go below $1.50 per gallon in my opinion

7. Over 2 bucks a gallon now in 29 Palms, CA
home of the largest Marine base in the US, where it felt like a ghost town for 2 months where they were all fighting in Iraq. Now they have come back, and have to fill up their giant pick up trucks with expensive gas. Life is strange.

It does seem that a large amount of the vehicles that are obviously Marine owned (by their bumper stickers, licence plate frames, etc) are BIG! Especially big new, shiny trucks.

Though yesterday in the grocery store parking lot, I saw a car with Marine stickers, and one that said Pagan and Proud! Must be an interesting person.

8. If gas is too expensive...
why are so many people driving around in those 3 ton behemoths that get 12 miles per gallon?

9. Well
My car gets around 35-40 MPG, but in their defense, maybe they bought the SUVs when gas was less than a dollar per gallon.

Who knows!

12. Last time gas was this expensive ...
Jeffords went independent and prices immediately began to fall (within two weeks anyway). I think we need some senators to start making noise about a Senate investigation into high gasoline prices to force the oil companies to suddenly 'discover' some lost capacity.
