Hillary just announced as leader of Dem's truth squad during convention!
Matthews on Hardball discussing this announcement of her being very prominent next week in debunking Repub crap. Sounds great to me.

2. Good, she should be able to get media access.
It will be interesting to see how the various networks handle this convention.

4. This is exceedingly smart

The media always focuses SO much attention on her anyway, why not have her be debunking lies with all that attention.
Plus she's a New York Senator.

Very shrewd by the Democrats.

7. That is excellent, but does that mean we have to watch the RNC...
...to see Hillary? Anyway that her comments can just be streamed into DU without actually having to listen to all the Bushit propaganda and pundits like O'Liely, Schammity, Rush (the addict) Logroll and all the other neo-con MPBs (mouth-pieces for Bush) out there? If not, I'm dusting off my tinfoil hat.:tinfoilhat:

8. Yeah!!!!
I'm surprised that Hillary was picked, but it is a good choice. Now we need Howard Dean and James Carville on the Truth Squad as well. We need our very best to debunk the GOP Bullshit!

10. My mom (in her 70's) is a N.Y. Republican who loves Hillary, hates Bushco
My mom told me she hopes their convention fizzles, and that she and my Dad and their Repub friends are all very disappointed with all of the Repub politicians in N.Y. including Pataki. She loves Hillary (and Schumer too) and sent me an email she got from Hillary outlining what Hillary is doing (such as trying to keep my dad's VA hospital open). My mom has never voted for a Repub for President but my Dad is a WWII vet who was misled into voting for Bush in 2000, but won't make that mistake again.

I have to try hard to say 'RWing' instead of 'Republican' when I am criticizing Repubs with them since they despise most of the Repubs as much as I do, despite being lifelong Repubs themselves.

11. I want to see lots of Wes Clark too- he was great during Dem convention
I believe Clark will be prominent too which could help with Arkansas voters. I loved the way he smacked down Chris Matthews better than anyone, and with a smile on his face the whole time during Dem convention.

12. WOW!!
She will be fantastic! This is going to be so cool--I guess that now I have to watch some of their awful convention though...that is a downside....lots of us Democrats will tune in--and they will think that they are attracting us. YICK.

Hillary will be tough and strong! The kind of woman who makes repugs quake in fear!

17. I don't understand this Truth Squad?
Is this bunch of Democrats going to be looking for some truth at the Republican Convention? They're going to have to look very hard and they'll probably need computers if they want to find anything. They should probably focus on something other than the Republican platform in order to optimize their time and energy. Good luck!

18. Ahhhh, Sweet Hillary...
I can hear Rush's blood pressure rise from here. Hannity must look like Cujo. I loves me some Hillary I do. I just hope she doesn't soft sell too much. I'd like to see her come right out and say "well that's a crock of shit if I ever heard one"... well maybe not THAT direct... You rock, Hill!
