freepers new rant on election 2000 & 2002 -- wahhhhhh!
There's a long rant posted tonight by granny freeper Ragtime Cowgirl detailing all manner of supposed injuries at the hands of those election-stealing Dems and their complicit media! It's worth reading, if you dare. A few snips:

"Did you hear of a Republican* voting twice? Republican* felons voting in large blocks? Republican* illegal immigrants? Republicans* in nursing homes and hospitals "helping" incompetent patients vote? Republicans* adding non-resident names to the voting rosters at the polling locations? Republicans* poking holes in ballots/ eating chads? Writing books about recounts and how to win elections by manipulating ballots? Did Republicans* have a GOTV center set up in a Palm Beach law office, with "ballot protest" forms and a telecom company (a little bankrupt firm called Telequest that sold to a company from India days later for millions $$), set up in advance, as well as a team of lawyers ready to put the "recount" campaign in place? Did a Republican* lawyer lie about an Illinois "dimple decision" to the national press and in court? Did Republicans* go into the inner cities and tell the voters that George W. Bush would send them back to slavery? Did a Republican* Florida Supreme Court ignore existing state law to allow carefully selected Republican* counties recounts, and then change the laws as it was necessary to help Republicans*? Did a Republican* send a memo to every one of 67 counties - not based on Florida law - telling poll workers how to disqualify military ballots? Did Republicans* prevent over 500 Florida students from Liberty University (Jerry Falwell's school) from receiving their absentee ballots? Did Republicans* misdirect military mail? Make it exceedingly difficult for military overseas to vote? Did the Republican* press cover up the massive Dem. dirty tricks? Did a Republican* Florida elect our Republican House, Republican Governor and GHW Bush over Bill Clinton in 1992? Is the Republican* press still lying?"

"Remember when the press "discovered" the old mildly-intoxicated-while-driving Bush "scandal" a week before the election? Coincidentally, earlier that same day, Janet Reno told the press that she would be opening an investigation into Al Gore's pulling the plug on a multi-year drug investigation (after the Houston detectives cried foul at the cover-up) because the #1 suspect made a BIG $$$ donation to Al's campaign. A mob of "mainstream" journalists chased the ancient DUI story. The Washington Times reported the Gore story, too. When I asked a local SW Florida NBC-TV news manager why the Gore story was being covered-up, following three days of "DUI" coverage into the weekend before election day, this news boss said of the Washington Times, "That right-wing rag?! It's owned by the Moonies." I asked him whether he believed that Janet Reno would grant the Washington Times an exclusive? He conceded the point, but no mention of the Gore story appeared on his news channel or in the mainstream media. No daily reports from NBC, CBS, ABC, MSNBC, CNN, NY Times, Washington Post, LA Times, Boston Globe, NPR + the INTER-national press - or press mobs chasing Gore across parking lots demanding that he spill all."

"Some of what the left-wing media left out of the 2000 election re-re-recount coverage:

While the Democrats are still blaming those Votomatic punch card machines (like the one in Palm Beach) for Gore's loss, it was Bush who was hurt in the Votomatic counties...including my Republican Lee County. Impeachment manager Bill McCollum received more votes for Senate than did George W. Bush for President in Lee, Palm Beach, Charlotte counties. Think about that. Voters voted for Bill McCollum and Al Gore?

Oh, and those "hick" counties, the "red" counties in Florida with fewer than 10,000 voters? All but one of those 22 Florida counties voted for BUSH and they are ALL Democrat-majority counties with Dem. election personnel...and ALL recounted (as did EVERY county in Florida (just not 2 or 3 times 'til ballots could be manipulated for Gore))- and the HONEST Democrats in the small Florida counties showed mostly single digit changes in the recounts, mostly insignificant. As a friend said, "my Democratic neighbors are southern Democrats with family values and they don't trust Gore."

1. Here's why that's nonsense
Edited on Sun Aug-24-03 10:36 PM by Composed Thinker
Tactics like that, if true, would be easily provable. And if something like that, assuming it was true, really affected Republicans, they wouldn't let it occur. If you know of someone robbing your house and have solid proof, do you do nothing? Of course not. The only conclusions are that Republicans who make these allegations are either really dumb (again, on the wild chance that they are correct), doing the same things or things very similar, or full of it. My guess would be the third choice.

I wonder if this woman has any proof of her claims.

2. earth to ragtimecowgirl
The leaked story about the Maine DUI most probably came from Karl Rove. Here's why. That very day, Senators Bob Kerrey, Inouye and Cleland held a press conference to demand that George W. Bush release his military records. Evidence had surfaced in the Boston Globe and other news outlets that Bush had missed a full year of his National Guard service, from May 1972-73, had been grounded for refusal to take a flight physical after the Pentagon started including drug tests, and had scammed both the Alabama NG and the Texas Air NG in order to avoid duty.

Rove knew the accusations were out there. He knew the deserter information would swing thousands or millions of voters away from Bush.

That day, the challenge was made. Open your military records, Governor Bush. Explain your record. Answer these questions.

And then this old DUI story broke. The press went crazy with it. Bush was barely affected.

Now, you tell me, Ragtime Grannygirl -- WHY would the Dems obliterate sure and certain political death for Bush (AWOL story) by breaking a milder story (DUI)??

The answer, of course, is that Rove broke the DUI story to obliterate the AWOL story. And the conservative press went along for the ride.

7. Well, you have no definitive proof, but...
that does make sense, certainly much more sense than ragtimecowgirl.

12. They can cry all they want

and complain about blow jobs, but the above is the "president"'s arrest record. At least the part of the record we know of.

What about his paying for his girlfriend's abortion?

What about his conviction in Houston for cocaine possession that he did community service for and got his record expunged?

What about the pic of Bush dancing naked on a bar?

What other lies or failure to fully disclose important facts about Bush do not we know about?

3. This is opinion...not fact...
- This person rambles on and on and doesn't provide any information that could lend credibility to her many assertions and accusations. It boils down to a bitter rant about things they've obviously never taken the time to research.

- Stereotypes and bigotry, big time.

4. Actually, yes. I've heard of Republicans doing some of those
things. They did several of them right here in East Tennessee, and got caught!

5. Did you see a republican win florida
after all the votes were finally counted?

No? Because Gore won?
Why did the public not notice this?
Oh, yeah, 9/11. My bad.

6. She's full of shit.
Which isn't surprising considering the company she keeps while online. That bitch is making it up as she goes along.

Even military absentee ballots that would ordinarily be disqualified (lack of postmark, etc.) were allowed to be counted, in the Democrats typical desire to appear even-handed. No one ate chads, poked holes in ballots, nor any of the other absurd allegations that undoubtedly bat-faced bovine made.

However, there were over 60,000 Democrats illegally thrown off the voter rolls. That's been documented and televised for posterity. There was also the very strange matter of a group of white republicans, flown into Miami on Enron jets, that tried to incite a riot and assaulted Democratic officials in the courthouse... it too has been documented for all the world to view from now until forever.

Sometimes I have to remind myself that bone-deep stupid people have as much right to exist as the rest of us.

8. And while Im thinking about it
Why is winning never enough for these psychotics?

They aren't happy with a victory. They need to win and still smear their competitors.

These sycophantic lunatics were so anxious to please the right wing that they tried to FReep Faux News!

This is NOT TO BE MISSED. This missive takes the confusion out of the mess in Florida during the election and places it where the truth resides. INCREDIBLE!!!

11. Because they know they didn't really win.
It is driving them crazy that Gore beat Bush by over a half million votes.

9. Hmmmmm....
did she also mention that the "Brooks Brother's Suit" protestors were flown down to Florida in Enron and Halliburton jets to intimidate the vote counters during the recount?

Btw, today I heard that the Enron buidling down in Houston is now going for sale.

13. "mildly-intoxicated-while-driving Bush"

That is simply brilliant. Where on the incident report is "mildly"? In what state is "mildly-intoxicated" a specific charge?
I'm (frankly) fascinated by someone defending their boy for drunk driving---I guess its regretful but basically OK if he was just "mildly" drunk.

Just like the Freeper reply in one of these posts, I too am "stunned" by her "intellect"----well, by the lack of any evidence of one.

Mildly intoxicated...that's one for the books.

14. It's the freeper board
It's all shit anecdotes anyway. I wouldn't pay much attention to it, they probably think Yahweh sent down a bolt of lightning to stun Jeb into having state troopers set up roadblocks and dem ballots double punched. Don't expect anything enlightening from this source.

16. anyhoo...
....this is what we are going to face as the BBV info gets wider circulation. These claims of Dem vote and election fraud. Bill Sammons' book claiming Gore tried to steal the election was innoculation against the truth, whenever it came out.
