How about it Dole? You seem to have all the answers.

9. The Texas sit on ass tang award is given after 3 years - and Bush did not
get such an award.

All he needed to do was complete 3 years of his somewhat longer commitment.

He did not get the award - implying he did not complete 3 years - implying he was being processed for AWOL/deserter/dishonorable discharge before the 3 years were up - implying someone stopped the process since he did not get a DH - say the GOP powerhouse - DAD - stepped in in the same way Dad stepped in to get him into the Guard the same day he applied despite the waiting list.

So George is missing an award everyone in his unit who bothered to show has received.

Should Dole and Freeper posters worry about this slight to Bush - and work on getting him his award?

Hell - he can have TANG folks add "Valor" to the letter transferring the award, say for endangering his nose with powder and his liver with booze and bravely breaking the law to get an abortion for the 15 year old girl he knocked up, and he can then claim he stands equal to Kerry as they both have showed valor - at least on official paper!

LOL :-)

2. How much did it bleed?
The Bob Dole 35 Years After the Fact Infallible Test of Who Was Truly Wounded is subject to change at any time.

5. Well, enough to have it wrapped in a bandage.
No emergency room but hey, I bled. So I figure I'm entitled to a medal and I'm thinking Bob Dole could give me one.

10. Was Dole's wound self-inflicted for an early out? - was there an
enemy nearby - can he prove that he didn't just drop a grenade?

Did he plan a career based on a bad hand sympathy vote?

When he was in the hospital did he swear at the nurses?

3. Nope, no war and no courage
But Bob Dole thinks you have to bleed for every medal so since I bled doesn't that mean I'm eligible?

4. hell no
No, you don't deserve a medal,it's a self inflicted wound. You're probably planning on running for President in 35 tears and just want a medal to look brave. Now, if you had killed your radio operator, that would rate a medal.

14. All my medals
and $3.50 will get me a cup of coffee at Starbucks. And they dont have a military discount. Medals mean something different to everyone who recieved them. A real soldier knows whether he merits recieving the award or not. I earned all 9 of mine. But they still dont mean anything to anyone else but me.

18. Lib, despite my attempt at revealing the irony of the repub's like Dole
your medals mean a great deal to me. All of them by all of the soldiers. The repub's may take my salary, my overtime, an unfair share of the taxes that keep this country running and more. But they will never, and I mean never, take away my respect for the heroic reality that is the life of a soldier in any war, any battle, for any reason.

15. No. But if you get some shrapnel in your ass from enemy fire, yes.
We may give you recognition for being the first male cheerleader ever to enlist in the National Guard and then go AWOL if you merit it.

Whoops, sorry Bu$h was the first. You can have honorable mention.

19. Ohhhhh... of course a cheerleader! That's what's really important to Dole!
Cripes, we nearly missed it. It's the whole cheerleading thing, that sort of pouty touche, swishey thing. That's what he was looking for in his "friend" John Kerry. Nope can't see it, Kerry as cheerleader is about as hopeful as Elizabeth Dole wearing clothing from a consignment shop.

Never thought about being a cheerleader.

16. Yes, you do
If you did it while putting yourself in danger to save another person. If you were pulling someone from a burning car or anything along those lines, you deserve a medal whether you cut your hand or lost it all together. Makes no difference.

17. So, even Bob Dole is whoring himself out on the veterans issue.
I'm actually a little shocked and disappointed.

I disagreed with the man's politics, but I always considered him an honorable man.

What a shame that he had to tarnish that honor this late in life.
