Some posters here gave me the idea to do this:
FIRST ANNUAL WHOSLYING AWARD!
http://www.whoslying.org/index.php?option=content&task=view&id=586&Itemid=2The Republican convention is upon us, and the election season will soon be kicking into high gear. As you might imagine, the spin doctors, pundits and bottom feeders of our discourse will be putting on the accelerator as well. So to keep tabs we will be holding our first annual Whoslying contest for most blatant, bald-faced lie of the campaign season.
The contestant who contributes the best lie will receive the O’Reilly award, named to honor the face of the modern media, talk show host Bill O’Reilly. In addition, the winner will receive:
1) A signed copy of Paris Business Review containing the article O’Reilly cited to demonstrate the success of his embargo on French products

2) A copy of the tape of O’Reilly’s interview with Hans Blix before the war in which Blix "flat out" stated Hussein didn’t allow him to interview Iraqi scientists

HOW TO ENTER: Simply e-mail < memekiller@whoslying.org > the offending quote along with a citation (preferably with a link to the transcript/column/article) and a citation to the contradictory evidence unequivocally demonstrating the deception.
Entries will be based on three criteria: brazenness, outrageousness and bald-facedness.
We give extra points for fabrications received before they’ve appeared on the leading media-watchdog web sites. We also prefer fibs occurring between August 24 and Halloween 2004, though we’ll consider any dusty doozies someone manages to dig up.
Visitors are encouraged to push for their favorite fibs by rating their favorite entries as they are published.
DEADLINE: October 31, 2004. Winners will be announced on November 1, 2004.
