C-Span just called me and their bus will be here Oct 11th..ask me why?
I won the C-Span contest, one of 25 and had a choice of where I wanted to have C-pan bus visit us. I chose the school. My interview with Susan was back in March. I will play hostess to some of the kids including the seniors..This is an election year....I am going to try and coordinate getting Congressman Lewis out here and I sure wish I could get John Edwards to make a pop visit as well considering that all the media will be contacted as C-Span told me they were going to put out a press Release to the papers and Cable...Hmmmmmmmmmm. I find it so strange that C-span calls me, it still blows me away especially as often as I call them and can barely get through.
4. Susan and others called back in March a good deal and
it is so strange to say Hi this is C-Span instead of the other way around and it blows my mind every single time they do it. The were coordinating the interview last time and this time its the visit. Would you believe some time they call as late as 7PM at night?
12. The school is in a tizzy....I am not sure they are up about it but oh well
I gave them the inside C-SPan number to contact and coordinate and have been doing this since February of last year. I am fortunate that I won that essay contest and trust me Free media coverage is good ! If you go the C-Span.org and look under 25 years and click on winners..My name is on there and if you click on my name you get the interview. That was last MArch..The bus is just now getting around to here. Part of my prize. I got the interview, 250.00 and a C-Span Bus visit wherever I chose. I chose the school.

because during my interview, my words were screened carefully. They did not want to hear about the bad treatment of vets and so but they are still the best source of fair reporting we have !
This is exciting, and they couldn't have chosen a better person. It has to be interesting to be within the inner workings of this. I'm looking forward to watching. I'll send a letter off to the Kerry-Edwards camp too.

22. You kiddin..They want the mayor there....Its my prize I said well I
don't want the governor there ! I am doing as ya'll said. Trying to stack the political deck so they will have to run some coverage nationally, other than taping.......and just visiting !
