The Irony of Abu Ghraib
So we're told today that investigations conclude no higher-ups are guilty of anything in the tortures. It's just some out-of-control low-level soldiers. They're entirely to blame.

Yet Kerry's getting heckled at the VFW and smeared by other veterans for telling the truth 31 years ago, protesting the higher-ups in defense of the soldiers. They SAY he was saying the soldiers were to blame, but he wasn't.

Sometimes the irony just makes me want to scream.
