Religion in the DNC and RNC
We had quite a few religious people and religious topics at the DNC. There was one theme though that the religious people spoke about, and that was tolerance. We should all remember the heavy applause when the Catholic Priest said we should be against people because of their religous traditions at the closing of the DNC.

However at the RNC, who is one person who will be speaking?

Jerry Falwell.

Need I say more?

1. Jerry Falwell - isn't he dead?
Hmmm...wasn't he involved in a scandal or two back in the day or am I getting my plastic cross carrying, Bible Clifts Notes reading evangelists mixed up?

4. The only thing that Foulwell has been caught at specifically
is the sin of gluttony, although if we were to open his books, we'd likely find much, much more.

You can make a great living at convincing selfish people that they can somehow write a check and bribe their way out of hell.

2. Could you elaborate on what that priest said?
As a Catholic I'd like to know, I missed that speech unfortunately.

"Well I'm not particularly a religious man" -Denis Leary's priest

3. At the end of the DNC
They had a Priest close the Convention, and to paraphrase him, he said.

"We should not discriminate people on the basis of race, gender, religious tradition, etc."

I can't remember the exact quote, you can probably find it if you look.

6. I'm really glad you clarified that quote
because it didn't sound nearly as good the first time.

8. Aaah! I made a serious typo!
We should all remember the heavy applause when the Catholic Priest said we should be against people because of their religous traditions at the closing of the DNC.

I can't believe I actually typed that! Right now, I bet there is some FReeper taking advantage of my oversight.

Sorry all, what I was actually thinking about typing was "should NOT be against"
