10. True, but * had a good response from HIS vets with their darling soda-
jerk style hats (like the nice dude behind Kerry). And in shrub's photo-op he had LOTS of vets packed in behind him. You just see that one guy behind Kerry.

Now...if you turn up the volume, you'll hear that Kerry has substance and gravitas as opposed to the lightweight *.

8. He's in Cincinnati,
at the VFW Convention. Kerry has been a member of VFW since his return from Vietnam, however, according to this morning's "Dayton Daily News" he is expected to receive a less-than-warm reception.

Shrub spoke before the group on Monday and received horrendous applause (at least that's what the media would like us to believe).

Guess the vets approve of Shrub's 2-week National Guard stint in Alabama.

Go figure.

Hero vs. Zero. Give 'em hell, John!

25. Yes, I saw that, too. And I got mad. And I called in and complained.
See post #15.

I mean - HAVEN'T WE HEARD ENOUGH - repeat - ENOUGH of/from/about bush by now? Hasn't the LAST FOUR YEARS (and even before, if you consider the cakewalk they gave him during his campaign) been nothing but a non-stop, question-free, unchallenged, undisputed promo and blow-job fest for bush? Hasn't he had WAY more than his share of equal time? How 'bout we give the OTHER guy - OUR guy, our NEXT PRESIDENT, for that matter, a fair shake for a change?

15. I just called CNN and complained - while Kerry was speaking,
they did a split-screen and put up a comment from bush slamming Kerry during some recent speech. I called up - (404) 827 - 0234 - then when you connect, press 8 to cut through the recorded message - and complained. I asked whether they had a bush campaign operative running the newsroom, and why they had to split-screen like that - to interrupt and, in effect, cast a doubt or question, on some of what Kerry was saying. I said it was a cheap shot, and that they were NOT giving Kerry a fair shake, and I hated their bias, and I want it STOPPED - NOW!!!!!!! I said we've already HEARD bush for four years. We've had PLENTY of time and opportunity to hear from bush, and I'm SICK of hearing from bush and I've had WAY more than enough of hearing from bush. I said he's received WAY more than equal time and a decent share of media shilling, and now I want to hear, uninterrupted or contested, from John Kerry.

Then, I quickly added that it wasn't the operator at whom I was disgusted, because she had the misfortune of working for some very twisted, biased people, but that I realized it wasn't her doing. And I thanked her.

So THERE!

Bastards!

18. and maybe even more....
IF they *love* their country, they want to know the truth, so that a wise decision can be made in terms of leadership. Playing games with the truth of what has been said does not demonstrate of love of country.

How's that, eh? :)

26. Well maybe we oughta do one AGAIN. Maybe they just need to be
smacked upside the head with a bunch of telephone two-by-fours, until they get it. Obviously they're demonstrating how thick-headed they are. Probably why they like bush so much - they identify with stupidity. They identify with density. Birds of a feather, I guess. Hey, my kids didn't get the message the first time, either, when they were trying to understand the toilet, or trying to understand why you don't pick your nose in public, or trying to understand that you don't blurt out in the middle of class. Took 'em awhile. Maybe we should treat CNN and other such outfits as though they were small children who just need to be reminded repeatedly until they thoroughly learn it. Repeat until the lesson is memorized. Just because our "Project CNN" may not have had an immediate impact doesn't mean that has to be the last time we scold 'em. And it absolutely should NOT be the last time they hear from us. It certainly doesn't mean I'm going to stop calling in and complaining.

My next call, I think, in a few minutes, will be to demand that they give bush's speech the same split-screen treatment with Kerry statements.

This IS war, after all.

16. Just watched it. Great speech
Hit Bush about the redeployment and said it was dangerous and and dangerous message (cited that McCain said the same thing) when Korea is developing more nukes. I think there was some fuck head heckler in the crowd. I thought they really responded about a lot of things like all the health care and pension talk, etc. I did not see Bush there because I refuse to watch anything that pig speaks at. For those of you who did, how did you compare the applause betweent he two. If those guys screamed for Bush and blew off Kerry then may they wait in long lines for the healthcare and let them do without their pensions---Kerry has fought years for them and Bush uses them.

21. Boos and applause...
Since I work in the media industry, the mics on the various news cameras taping an event, can be adjusted to squelch out the lower registry tones, aka boos. So, it's all in the magic of TV and the right wing directors as to who gets the cheers and who gets the boos.

22. thats what puzzles me
here you have Vets who fought in Wars.put their lives on the line.yet they stand behind bush...........almost idolize him..........the awol.........non fighting idiot......who cut their benefits.....

Either these guys have big investments in his oil companies.....or they have a mental detrioration.....

I think they just like the smirks and jokes that bushy boy makes.......and does his team hand pick the vets who are allowed to hear him?

23. point blank---I think too many of these vets are Limbaugh listeners
and like so many others, cheer for the people who are slitting their throats and too pathetically stupid to figure out who helps them. Kerry fought all his life for their benefits, etc. If this is how they respond between him and a little, coke-snorting AWOL, then let them rot.

Hannity never served.

Randi Rhodes did (Air Force).
John Kerry did.

What is wrong with these people?
