Here's what I look for when I vote

As a voter, I am a member of the largest hiring committee in our country. I will be considering these things when making my presidential hiring decision. Job candidate:
Possessing a degree beyond high school is desirable. Good grades reflect your work ethic. Lesser grades reflect a waste of opportunity.

Business executive experience may be helpful with your leadership showing good results. Bankruptcies will be seen as failures.

You must know and practice good basic business sense. Deficit spending is not a wise or at least a sustainable practice.

You must be a team builder. A "go it alone" approach will not produce optimum results. Collectively, your employers are a diverse bunch. An inclusive approach is required.

You must be able to prioritize. Face and address issues that impact the greatest number of your constituents. Don't be distracted or worse yet, don't cause the distraction.

You must have character enough to admit when you may have made a mistake. If you can't think of any errors you have made in your current or last position you're probably not thinking hard enough.

You will be leading a large committee of advisors, most of your own choosing. Insist on honest, thoughtful input backed by verifiable facts.

Your operating budget is huge and your workforce incredibly resourceful. Superb results will be expected.

We are at war at this time. Actual military experience may prove to be valuable.

When applying please answer my question, "Why should I hire you?" Avoid making or approving negative comments about the other candidates. I will see this as a weakness.

A job review will be done in four years. If I do not feel our country is far better off under your term, both domestically and internationally, then I will not vote to retain you.

Candidates involved with addictive substances need not apply. Abuse of some substances, such as alcohol, may have caused irreversible cognitive loss.
