1. Missed it last night. What happened?
Hope the hits on the site are folks who want truth rather than a denial of service aimed attack by the freepers.

4. RNC took a 10 second clip out of a 11 minute inteview
Edited on Tue Aug-17-04 02:19 PM by RobertSeattle
and it makes it look like Kerry is saying something he doesn't intend because they cut out the full question and the full answer. Typical cheap shot by the "honor and dignity" RNC.

Just got this from the Hardball email:
If you missed last night's Dowd/Devine smackdown folks it was a humdinger! We lit the place on fire! But have no fear, we posted the whole video of the segment on our blog late last night...Chris was all fired up yesterday when he heard that the RNC was running a web video using a clip from Hardball which he thought was taken out of context...President Bush made an oblique reference to the same clip on Saturday while campaigning in Sioux City, Iowa...We pulled the Bush bite, the original Kerry/Matthews bite, the RNC web video and threw in BC04 Sr. Strategist Matthew Dowd and Sr. Advisor to Kerry-Edwards, Tad Devine...What followed was pure Hardball magic...Watch the full 8 minute video here http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5651884/?#040816b But be warned, this segment is extremely hot and I'd suggest you have a fan nearby...

Macromedia flash and embedded windows media player works JUST FINE with mozilla, but when I come to the MSNBC site, now they wont' let me play unless I play with their toys.

18. Kee RIST, the first thing out of O'Neill's prissy mouth was a LIE
Kerry was aboard the Gridley from June to June, which is a YEAR. I think it was two days short of 365 days when it pulled into port in the US.

I sincerely hope there is a libel action against this pack of scumbuckets.

I just read the transcript. I wonder who the blogger was that brought this to Chris's attention because I doubt he checked his own archives.

5. five million?
how can that be?

I hope it's true, cause that show was the best one he's ever done, even though he kept saying that Kerry's vote was a BLANK CHECK to go to war, despite ALL evidence to the contrary. Chris in his all-seeing, omniscient, Kerry-mindreading mode

he's such a jerk, even when he's not trying to be one

she's describing the tweety/dowd contretemps right now

15. A "Hit" is NOT a "visitor"
This is a very misleading stat! If a page has 50 graphic images on it, each time someone views that page, it counts as 50 "hits." A hit is merely a call to the server for a specific bit of information. The real number to be concerned with is "visitors" or "unique visitors." Hits sound very dramatic, and are often misused, often out of ignorance but just as often maliciously. Any way you slice it, though, 5 million hits is a lot of action.

Hardball airs tonight on MSNBC at 7p, 11p & 4a ET & 4p, 8p & 1a PT Find MSNBC on your TV http://www.msnbc.com/CableOperator.asp MSNBC also is on your XM satellite radio on channel 130

If you missed last night's Dowd/Devine smackdown folks it was a humdinger! We lit the place on fire! We'll follow this up hard tonight with Dem strategist Steve McMahon, GOP strategist Rick Davis, Time magazine's Jay Carney and some other folks.

We'll also talk to Stormin' Norman Schwarzkopf about Iraq, President Bush's new troop deployment plan announced yesterday (which would essentially concentrate our military in the Middle East) and the war on terror generally....

Definitely a break out the TV tray & pop the popcorn kind of night my friends...And if you've got Tivo, set it!

Chris hosts the show tonight from Los Angeles...

Did I mention we have the segment posted on our blog from last night??

FOXNEWS HANNITY/COLMES 0.9
FOXNEWS GRETA 0.9
FOXNEWS SHEP SMITH 0.9

14. I watched the video - that's the best they can do?
If anything, the video makes him seem consistently hawkish to me. The reasons for the votes on the IWR and the $87 bil have been explained, and anybody who doesn't understand those reasons by now iwll not be affected by this ad.

Remarkably ineffective, considering how desparately they pieced together little snippets of out-of-context interviews.

I hope everybody does watch this. Maybe it will make them curious to find out what Kerry was talking about when they cut him off.

Most times I can turn the radio on low and catch a midday nap (us old guys, ya know)her commentary on that fraud posing as a potus woke me from my slumber. The kind of reasoning she comes in with is really stirring, She is a very valuable asset for the cause
