CNN: ''The Mission of George W. Bush''....coming this weekend
Have you seen the disgusting, adorational ads for this?

Looks like a 'documentary' similar to "Born to Run," the hatchet job they did on Kerry.

Can you tell from the respective titles what to expect from this one?

Recall the outrage CNN caused with their singularly one-sided bio of Kerry, replete with pug after pug commentaries on Kerry, coming up with snide little stories about how petty, how singularly ambitious he was, right from the start. God knows what they'd have included, had the Swift Boat liars been out there at that time.

How do you think that CNN will cover our maximum leader's life in this presentation? Will they cover any but the most irrelevant, superficial negatives, or will they honestly explore his record as president. My guess is they'll concentrate on the personal: his likeability, leadership qualities, etc., resulting in a fawning, gushing portrait, most useful as a covering for one's breakfast cereal.

1. Is it sponsored by Budweiser? Pabst perhaps?
Perhaps they will delve into the rugby punch-in-the-face incident. Or the drinking. Or the business failures. Or the...oh fuck it.

9. Hartford Courant article
It's from before the 2000 election

people were ALL over that at Salon Table Talk and other places

of COURSE it didn't get into the 'real' news

I saw a new chickenhawk statement from him yesterday at an AWOL thread at Brad Delong's blog, which I shoulda copied; something about not wanting to be a grunt in Vietnam!

will check for both

11. here, kitty kitty
Though he's done a decent job of hiding it in this election cycle, Bush has been known to use salty language. At the Republican National Convention in 1988, he was asked by a Hartford Courant reporter about what he and his father talked about when they weren't talking about politics.

"Pussy," Bush replied.

http://dir.salon.com/politics/feature/2000/09/04/cuss_word/index.html

note the date........september, 2004

interesting you haven't heard of this til now, isn't it?

could it be because it's a word that's SO gross that it's not fit for even censored consumption, like major league a**hole?

how could they couch such a conversation on TV, unless, of course, it involved a democrat?

what galls me, as always, is the ZERO coverage it got.

recall the shove it comment, or the FINGER Kerry didn't give to that maniac Sampley, or the affair he DIDn't have, or the FINGER that Bush DID give to the kids in PA.

got any spare BP medicine?

7. With that title, I smell God........it's definitely going to be about God
Good--do the God thing. His base will "come" as they watch and maybe some others will say "what the hell do we have in the Oval Office". Most likely only the Bush adorers will watch--for god's sake, you're not going to watch, are you?? The Dems won't. And the rest of the country is going to be doing OLYMPICS or drinking beer and cooking out. This is their lame attempt to get people away from the Olympics and summer fun------sorry, CNN, you're gonna get fucked in the ratings.

"I'm a uniter not a divider. That means when it comes time to sew up your chest cavity, we use stitches as opposed to opening it up." Bush, on David Letterman (who had just had open heart surgery), March 2, 2000. (the audience booed)

16. welllllll, since it hasn't aired yet, it might be a bit premature
on the other hand, it might be interesting, seeing as how CBS has pulled various shows, commercials because of organized wingnut campaigns

I was just giving a heads up for the show, and wondering how pro-Boosh it would be, compared to how slanted their Kerry bio was

21. hey........no argument here
it's been my chief complaint since god knows when.....during REAGAN, that the MEDIA are the number one obstacle to achieving anything resembling democracy in this country

the MEDIA are by far the most important factor in Bush getting within MILES of Gore last time, enabling him to steal the election, and the MEDIA are what scared the Gore wussies off going after the recount as ferociously as did the nazis, enabling them to keep enough of the lead for the EXCOTUS to render their 'precendent-free' decision

22. Let's see who they get to analyze the Chimp's character
since their bio of "Born to Run" included John O'Neill and Bob Dole.

Michael Moore? Al Gore? Who are the parallels? Fill in the analogies:

John O'Neill is to John Kerry as {Blank} is to GW Chimp
Bob Dole is to John Kerry as {Blank} is to GW Chimp

And as you said, I'm sure we can expect them to include every single criticism from the leftwing, proven or unproven, sourced or unattributed, as they did in "Born to Run." ..

that was one of the most despicable aspects of their hit piece on Kerry

John ONeill?

how about Jim Hatfield's WIFE?

or, do you think they'll use THIS:

Cindy McCain Weeps After S.C. Loss, 'We Never Called His Wife A Weirdo'

NEW YORK, Nov. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- By the time the South Carolina primarycame around, the Republican candidates had launched nasty campaigns and loathed each other. When the two men assembled for a group photo, TexasGovernor George W. Bush went over to Arizona Senator John McCain in his fullI-love-ya-man mode, seizing both of McCain's hands in his own, one source tells Newsweek in the special election issue. "Let's not let this getpersonal, John," he said. "We've got to start running a better campaign."
McCain looked at Bush. "Don't give me that s--t," he growled, "and take your hands off of me," according to an exclusive report in Newsweek's special election issue.

26. And what about that Spam on George H.W. Bush's World War II story?
Just a few weeks ago, CNN ran again-and-again-and-again over several week-ends the story of what George H.W. Bush did in World War II. I call it spam because it must have been blasted at the audience four or five times each day on Saturday and Sunday over several week-ends. And what's more, the ads for it had an old photo of Poppy wearing one of those leather aviator helmets and his face was almost a dead ringer for the Chimp.

Why doesn't CNN do a special, broadcast over-and-over-and-over again detailing every incident of heroism of John Kerry, instead of constantly featuring right wing psycopaths who have absolutely no evidence regarding Kerry's Vietnam service, weren't in Kerry's boat, and can't contradict the facts?

Someone should start a website called "Conservative News Network Watch", detailing every malicious, slanted, and fabricated bit of "journalism" that vomits forth from that network.
