Which reporters/pundits are NOT CIA?
Edited on Tue Aug-17-04 03:16 AM by UdoKier
In keeping with the theme of my last post about Reporters working for the CIA, which do you think are NOT on the Agency's payroll? Preferably right-wingers, but any will do if the reason why is interesting.

I'm guessing Bill O'Reilly is NOT on the payroll. I think the idiocy we see is all him, all real. I can't believe anyone could fake all that!

1. The CIA had a very valuable relationship to the NY Times
I assume you know the seminal Carl Berstein article in Rolling Stone (The CIA and the media, 1977)? At least at that time, the contacts to the CIA were certainly not limited to RW journalists.

And while the Washington Post has a liberal reputation, it used to be (or still is) at the same time "the CIA paper".

So I don't think we should exclude "liberal" journalists. But can we do more than only guess wildly? Do you have any indications to substantiate your guesses?

2. Obviously this is meant to be all in fun.
There really is no way for a layman like myself to know such things. It's just fun to guess. It's alsop good to be aware that the "news" we read every day is being influenced, despite our declarations of free speech and the "fourth estate".

5. Kind of fun, yes
Kind of sad, also, that probably some of our guesses are true.

4. Well thank you.
I have read both unlinked posts. I remember what you refer to.

I think we need to remember that reporters do not set the policy of news outlets.

There are only 1495 daily papers now. If you make it to the WAPO,NYT,etc, you toe the corp. line.

I am a low poster but I have read this site for about two years.
I find it humorous that so many use the word whore.

Years ago when I went to topless bars,on the shithouse wall was written,"Kristal is a whore". The retort was ,"Aren't we all".

This is the nature of this economy and society. Throwing rocks, clouds our perception of reality.
