Construction workers laughing about Bushisms in Alabama
I visited a friend today who is building a new house. I made a comment about the dramatic increase in the cost of copper, lumber, plywood, and other construction items. The contractor started talking about Bush's economic policies, and then the architect started in with the Bushisms. I thought these two guys were conservatives until today. They can't stand Bush, even though they voted for him in 2000.

I gave them a few more Bushisms and told them to Google Bushisms. White, religious guys in Alabama making jokes and cursing Bush - made my day! :-)

2. Why is it such a shock
That someone from Alabama might not like Bush?

3. Well...
They did vote for him in 2000! I think that is where the idea of "shock" enters.

4. Who is "they?"
I sure as hell didn't vote for him and I live in Alabama.

New Hampshire voted for Bush in 2000, too. Would anyone post a thread expressing surprise about construction workers from New Hampshire being anti-Bush? Not likely.

5. From the first post...
"They can't stand Bush, even though they voted for him in 2000."

So, you see, these are two guys who, in 2000, voted for Bush. Thus the surprise!

6. Only surprising
if you don't get out much.

I, too, am white and religious and I live in Alabama. And I don't like Bush.

And I am not the only one in Alabama who feels that way.

7. These guys are Alabama fundies
Your typical republican voter. Maybe it's guys like these that are causing Bush to spend so much time trying to save his base.

8. Perhaps because it was his highest percentage state?

10. Maybe because in Alabama, about 60% of voters
picked * in 2000. These are the same folks who voted in George Wallace, Fob James and Roy Moore...

11. Some reich wingers love Bushisms
They think it is cute, charming, and shows how "real" and "down to earth" he is.

The sad truth, however, is that he is actually a fucking moron who was never fit to even clean toilets, let alone be President.
