3. This is so funny
when I think back to when I was teaching in the 80s, the local Baptists were allowed to have Bible Club IN THE SCHOOL after school hours. There was always a religious theme to the Christmas play. But the last year I was there, when I was teaching about India in Social Studies classes, I was looked on with suspicion because I played a kirtan (Hindu chanting-this one honoring Shiva) and told-gasp-the kids that there were other religions out there to be honored and respected!
