TALLAHASSEE — Early voting begins in Florida’s August primary election today without a decision on when the actual election can be held.

“Charlotte becomes real key in that, because they haven’t even located the supervisor yet, or the supervisor’s office,” Lt. Gov. Toni Jennings said.
Secretary of State Glenda Hood on Saturday canvassed election supervisors in other disaster counties.
Jennings said some of them, including Hardee County, thought they could provide a place to begin early voting. “They feel they have places. It may not be the supervisor’s office,” she said.
She did not know whether the primary could be postponed locally or, if delayed, that it must be delayed statewide.
