I'm attending a local speech by David Kay, any questions for him?
A local church in Cleveland is sponsoring and hosting a speech by David Kay, former U.N. weapons inpector who didn't tell Shrubbie what he wanted to hear about Iraq, this Thursday evening and I'm planning on attending with several friends and family members (I can't wait!!!!). Allegedly, there's a Q and A session afterwards. Anyone have any specific questions they think he should be asked?

1. Why did he say we were all wrong when inspectors and
others were saying they were not finding anything and Scott Ritter said there were not major stock piles of WMD.

7. UN Inspectors
Since we know the truth now, wouldn't it have been wiser to have given Hans Blix the time he said he needed and requested to finish his job?

2. How did he feel when he heard all that...
Bullshit about WMDs and especially the Mushroom cloud reference in the State of the Union address?

4. cheney still keeps suggesting WMD might still be found
ask him if he thinks it's pure politics for cheney to keep suggesting WMD's might be found in Iraq ...

i bet he tries to avoid the political aspects of weapons inspections ... i'd try to drag him into the political arena ... he'll probably dodge the question but you could still make the point by raising the issue for the rest of the audience ...

8. could Blix have done the job in the time he was given?
bush rushed to war and never had any intention to let the U.N. complete their inspections ... ask Kay how long his investigation took and ask him how much time Blix was given ... then ask him whether bush provided adequate time to Blix to do the necessary work to make a determination about WMD's ...

then ask him whether this suggests that bush rushed to war without knowing whether WMD's did or did not exist ...

it's one thing for bush to try to say all of Washington believed Saddam had WMD's but it's something else again to deprive Blix and the U.N. the time it needed to collect the necessary evidence ... we should not have gone to war over bush's beliefs when weapons inspection experts could have given a more definitive answer ...

9. Why does he think Bush didn't mislead us, but was instead
mislead himself.

I don't buy it.

Thanks in advance.

10. Everyone-
these are all excellent questions, and I'd certainly be interested to hear his answers. It'll be quite an evening, I'm sure, especially if everyone comes with similar questions. I'll let you know what happened!
