Keyes wants to end election of senators
He would like to return to the pre 1913 practice where the state legislation chose the senators. He states that "state legislation is no longer involved at the federal level." Notice his Archaic wording used in his quotes.

1. Uh, then why is he running for Senator?
Since he feels strong about it, drop the fuck out.

4. I think this is a ploy
by him to make him seem like an outsider.

3. How'd he like the pre 1913 practice of Jim Crow?
Take a brave step forward to the 1910's with Keyes!

This is just free publicity for him.

On edit, my wife told me last night, "I bet Keyes tells Illinois to chill. He's heading for Jersey now."
