Our National Guard and The Hurricanes Headed for Florida

Given the huge call up for the war in Iraq, do we have enough National guardsmen to handle the impending natural disaster that these hurricanes are bringing? Has anyone asked this question?

Given present projections we are to evacuate 350,000 people, the largest ever here, into 56,000 shelter spaces and you can't cross the bridges after 40mph winds are reached...????????

I know, find a mobil home and sit on top with an oar. The storm surge is projected to be 15 feet.

3. How u evacuate the poor? other carib nations, how well they evacuate?

I wager the poor will not get out, and will drown, but the media will never blame the deaths on poverty.

Anyone know if other nations do a better job protecting their citizens from storms? Those in carib, and latin america?
