Simon's name must remain on the ballot
California law is really clear that once you have qualified for the ballot, you cannot remove your name from it, and it is a crime to do so. So while Simon can stop campaigning, he is still on the ballot.

1. He might even get MORE votes by not campaigning.
The guy has an ugly personality and philosophy and I think the more people see of him the more he turns them off.

2. There are DIE HARD Simon fans here in OC that will ONLY vote
for Simon. I have a feeling with him dropping this may SUPPRESS Repub support for the recall...don't know if it's so but I've been a bit prone to HOPE throughout this (even though I am acting as well)

3. Could He "Donate" Or "Assign" His Votes To Another Candidate?
Or would that just be too obvious?

4. Many anit-Bush CA Republicans might vote for him as a way to
say fuck you to Rove and Bush for trying to push the CA-republican party around. Of course Simon never would have been a factor in the first place if not for Bush.

5. This is good news
It will split a little off Arnold, and none off Bustamonte.
