5. They hate us because...
...They have a serious problem with our support of Israel and our policy toward those who do not support Israel. They hate us because they see us as invaders who are only in the middle east to take their oil and subjugate them to Israel.

Whether or not any of this is true is irrelevant. That's how they see us.

12. I believe we are far more fair with Israel than anyone else in the region.
I believe we give too much money, and expend too much political capital and good will, on our support of Israel, to the detriment of our standing with the rest of the region.

4. Amazing the suffering for a "free" people
If freedom is to work 2 jobs until you drop dead of exhaustion at
80, then we need a better working definition. Most americans are
not free.

To be free, in one sense, is to surrender your concept of identity
and to let it be formed by "this" moment. In that sense, we are all
already free, and only by picking up the burdensome self of the past
and future, with its expectations and projections, only then are
we bound and unfree.

I think this word freedom is bogus and hence why bush uses it. The
word that is missing is "liberty". That word suggests your power to
be included in your government and to be a minority unrepressed by
a majority. Nobody knows what liberty means anymore, so we are
reduced to grunting bush-pigs, uuuhh, freedom, yea... freedom to
mass murder people and not go to prison... bush-freedom indeed.

16. Freedom is slavery
If freedom is to work 2 jobs until you drop dead of exhaustion at
80, then we need a better working definition. Most americans are
not free.

It is a sad state of affairs. Saddest of all is that so many do not realize they are so far from free.

Our world becomes more Orwellian by the day.

6. The ones that want to take away our freedom
are right here in America.

The USA can only be taken from within. The real enemies are inside the wire.

13. Well said!!!
Now, how do we go about convincing the blind sheeple here in our own country that the real threat comes not from so-called foreign terrorists but from the people we "elect" and send to Washington?

10. I'm good
Just busy with work and life and cooking ;-)

Glad you are learning more about Africa. I kinda miss being there. It cracks me up ( makes me laugh that is ) that my wife worked there for 3 years ( Tanzania ) and still calls it home after 4 years back in the UK!

Did you try any of those recipies? I am trying some weird french Gascony cooking at the moment..... Dandilion salad anyone?

8. Um, er, just WHO is hating us??? See, there aren't any terrorists
targeting us.

600 some odd terror tantrum alerts... not one single terror threat nor actual activity.

That's a boggler too.
